Just a place for fun vids and comics and articles I find bouncing around the series of tubes that are the internets.

My Eventful Monday

So it is 4:43 on Monday morning and I have managed to trap myself at my house. It started with a great night of insomnia. I managed to mentally write two books/movies and a short story before I gave up and decided to go to work at 3:00. (I play out stories in my mind to get myself to go to sleep. They are usually romances since those make me sleepiest.) I was all ready to go and at 3:26 I was heading down Watkins Street when i hit the Loosahatchie bridge. Literally. Well not literally but not quite figuratively either. The bridge's concrete and the street's asphalt are evidently not on good terms and have a wide degree of seperation. I managed to hit it just right and blow a tire. Luckily my husband had just gone to bed so he wasn't asleep yet. I got him to come and get me and change the tire, but low and behold the spare was flat. So after a 15mph parade home, I said goodbye yet again and set off for work. It was 4:19 and I was like yeah still early! But no, Dame Fortuna had a trick up her sleeve and it is called running out of gas. So here I am. I can't sleep so I am typing this and thinking of all the great things coming today. I have already dusted all of the ceiling fans I can get to (the last one is over the bed where my husband is sleeping, no short jokes) and am now going to read either James "The Amazing" Randi's Flim Flam or Terry Pratchett's Thud. That is the start of my day so if anything else cool happens I will post again. (I will believe in some divine power if either my work place blows up or everyone comes down with monkey pox or something. Damn probability chance and coincidence that's just too much!!)
